"One generation ago, Rev. Carl M. Patterson cast a vision which has blessed us immeasurably. The move from Rosslyn, Virginia to Washington, D.C. was a faith foward move. In 2009, First Baptist links hands with our progenators. Faith, commitment and unity have taken a back seat to personal prosperity. However, when the bottom falls out for many of us the first place we run is to God and the church. First Baptist is committed to Biblical prioritization. We love each member and perspective member with a fervor. There is no caste system.
Just as God is not a "respecter of person", we emulate the same. Last year, we were able to see the manifestation of God's love of those who have been labeled outsiders. Our president has a non-traditional name with a non-traditional background. This is a story which should not be lost on mere politics. This church commits to embracing all who will come. I am confident that transformation lies on the horizon for country, cities, neighborhoods, familes and individuals. This begins with the universal church reclaiming its prophetic voice - not to fleece the flock but rather to empower the least and the lost."

this "cyber-evangelistic" experience will lead you into
new areas. We are a church with a great past and an even greater
future.
